“It is my sad duty as President of the Schengen Peace Foundation to inform you about the passing of the Foundation’s  Co-Founder Dr. Dr. h. c. Matthew Lamb, who died in the early morning hours of Saturday, February 18th 2012 in his Chicago home surrounded by his family. Our most heartfelt wishes, our thoughts and prayers are with his wife Rose, his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. We have asked a Holy Mass to be read for his passing into another world. In the name of all members of the Board of Directors as well as all the volunteers of the Schengen Peace Foundation I thank our Co-Founder Matthew Lamb for his long lasting generosity, support and inspiration for the Foundation and  for his struggle for a more peaceful world.”
